The Assignment: To create a pleasant pedestrian retail experience on a highly visible site in an emerging residential area working with a limited budget. The program included a Bloom Grocery Store as anchor and multiple small retail buildings, all with 360 degree visual exposure from surrounding roads.

The Solution: aiDG blended the Bloom prototype design with the brick piers and stucco that form the palette for the adjoining shops. The design provided abundant glass, areas for signage and muted color awnings to promote window shopping, display and pedestrian movement between retail buildings. Corner tower accents were included to further emphasize the shops exterior.
