THE ASSIGNMENT: Bank of the Ozarks Carolinas region wanted a Charlotte-based headquarters with a retail banking center on the first floor. Located on Park Road, the space needed to be accessible to both employees and customers. Zoning constraints presented challenges to building a drive-thru teller and ATM.
THE SOLUTION: Keeping the craftsman style architecture theme that Bank of the Ozarks uses in other branch buildings, ai Design Group created a state-of-the-art office space which comfortably houses its employees. The new 10,000 sf facility includes 3,500 sf of retail banking on the ground level and offices located on the second.
Charlotte, NC aiDG worked around the zoning constraints by building the drive-thru teller/ATM under the second floor and behind a street-front facade.
